At this sanctuary, the Malaysian wildlife department uses trained elephant from Thailand and Myanmar (Burma) to train the local elephants for translocation of wild elephants from new agricultural land. Deerland, a privately run family centre houses the rare sun-bear (Honey-bear) and different species of deer and rare pheasants.
